For HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEONARD, we needed to be feel fully present in our main characters world. This was a project that was also very limited by time - so it was important for us to be able to move quickly in a way that didn’t sacrifice quality of the image. We chose to stay mostly handheld, staying in Leonard’s presence and point of view, and to motivate lighting from natural sources.
