ABOUT
Vaughn Greve is a commercial, documentary, and narrative cinematographer. Based in Los Angeles, they also work out of New Orleans, Louisiana and Santa Fe, New Mexico. A few of their commercial clients include Vice, Extra Gum, Audubon Nature Institute, Aveda, Refinery 29, KCET and Adult Swim. Vaughn’s work has won awards at Outfest, New Orleans Film Festival, and Palm Springs ShortFest, and has been distributed by Short of the Week.
Vaughn holds an MFA in Cinematography from AFI Conservatory, where they were a recipient of the prestigious Tom Yoda Scholarship Award. Their work is informed by a BA in Film Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University, a 35mm film program at FAMU, and three years as a screener and script reader for Sundance Film Festival. They are currently a Film Independent Project Involve Fellow of 2024.
They believe in the capacity of storytelling to create radical empathy, and care deeply about work that revolves around climate change. They strive to make imagery that is vital, visceral, and life-affirming. When not working, they can be found flying their drone in the mountains, training for a triathlon, or camping in the desert.
