One-on-one coaching to take your work exactly where you want it to go. No more generic workshops. No more Googling for answers. No more hitting technical or creative blocks alone.
WHERE CONTENT MEETS CINEMA.
Let me help you tell your story.
Need a cinematic upgrade on your aesthetic? I can do that. Looking to find some more ease in your workflow? I've got you. Have a specific style you want to emulate? I can take you there too.
Hello, I’m Vaughn Greve — a full-time cinematographer based in Los Angeles.
I’ve always admired YouTube as a space where anyone can pick up a camera and tell their story.
But after years of watching creators—some with huge followings—I’ve noticed something:
Even the most successful channels often hit walls when it comes to the technical side.
Composition, lighting, color grading, visual storytelling—these are the pieces that often get left behind.
It’s not because creators aren’t talented.
It’s because most of the advice out there comes from creators to creators—circling the same basics, without ever bridging the gap to real cinematic craft.
That’s where I come in.
I work one-on-one with creators, helping sharpen not just the visuals, but the way you tell your story—through better workflow, technical clarity, and a deeper understanding of cinematography.
No generic workshops. No recycled tips.
Just tailored, actionable guidance built around where you’re at and where you want your work to go.

IN the industry we start with a look or a feeling - and go from there.
About me
I’m a commercial, documentary, and narrative cinematographer based in Los Angeles, with experience shooting for brands like Vice, Sony, Netflix, and Aveda. I’ve spent the last 15 years working in the industry—on set, behind the lens, and inside the story.
I hold an MFA in Cinematography from AFI Conservatory, where I was trained to shoot on 35mm film. My background also includes a Film Studies degree from Barnard College, and three years as a screener and script reader for Sundance Film Festival.
That combination—both technical and narrative—means I care deeply about how stories move, not just how they look. My work is rooted in visual storytelling that’s intentional, visceral, and built to connect.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me flying my drone in the mountains, developing film, or camping in the desert.

I want to help content creators make work that is more cinematic, more artistically rewarding, and more technically polished.
